N, O, P, Q, R, S, T & U!

So yeah. It's been a while since I've posted my progress on Dogs A-Z.
I can't believe that I'm on V! I'm torn between Viszla or Volpino Italiano.
They're both so cute, how can I choose?
Check back soon to see which one it turns out to be.
These guys will go up on my etsy shoppe Dandyhorse Press in time for the holidays, so be sure to take a looksee or just write to me if you're interested in purchasing a print of your favorite pup.
And I'll be donating a portion of the proceeds from Pit Bull to Amsterdog, a great rescue group in New York who helped us find a home for a sweet pup we met who was being starved and abused by her shitbag owner.
Ok, without further ado N-U:

Newsflash! 3x3 Picture Book Annual No.10 winners announced...

...and three of my dogs from Dogs A-Z made it in!
A big thank you to the judges who gave them the thumbs up.
I guess the old adage about doing, or in my case drawing what you love is true.

Flashback! Westminster 2006

Those who know me well know that I can't pass up getting some sweet love from the creatures.
If there's a dog or cat (or ferret, bird, rat...) on the street, I can not resist the impulse to say 'hi' and pat them on their sexy rumps.
How do other folks resist these impulses?
Anyway, before I had cable, I would get all jazzed when Westminster came to town.
I'd even buy tickets just so I could go backstage and molest all those fancy dogs.
Now that I have cable, dog shows have lost their sparkle 'cause they're on all the freakin' time.
Long story short, I found these sketches in an old book that I made while watching the show.
I guess I was less jaded two years ago than I am now.

(as an aside, as much as i love learning about animal breeds, i'm all for adopting, especially giving homes to the oldies and the sickies.)
