Saxelby Cheese Doodle #5: Bonaparte from Lazy Lady Farm.

I'd like to introduce y'all to my tasty pal Bonaparte, from Lazy Lady Farm. His grandparents might have been French, but this dude's an all-American hunk (Ok. A truncated pyramid if we're getting technical.). Made from fresh goats' milk, it's dusted with vegetable ash, then aged for 4-6 weeks. This seasonal beauty is sold through December, so go out and get some from @SaxelbyCheese before Bonaparte season is a thing of the past.

Newsflash! 3x3 Picture Book Annual No.10 winners announced...

...and three of my dogs from Dogs A-Z made it in!
A big thank you to the judges who gave them the thumbs up.
I guess the old adage about doing, or in my case drawing what you love is true.

30 seconds in HEAVEN

I went to the Pratt Draw-A-Thon a few months back and came to a few realizations:
a. college students look really freakin' young.
b. there is no way I can even begin to pass for one.
c. I am no longer willing to wait on line for a slice of free, cold pizza.
d. kids + booze = vomit
e. (always check for vomit before stepping into an elevator, especially on a college campus)
f. i LOVE LOVE LOVE drawing 30-second poses. Here are a few from that night.

2nd and 3rd time at life drawing in entirely too many years

i've made a point in distancing myself from my wacom and mac the past few months.
and i've begun attending life-drawing again! i just kind of wing it and am usually surprised by what i come up with.

some stream of consciousness drawings i did while waiting for a parking spot.

sat outside on the bowery on a recent spring-like day and scribbled faces as they walked past.

stringer bell
