Hand Lettering: Theater Signage
I was raised on musical theater and grew up belting out show tunes in school plays and at drama camp. That's right. I went to drama camp. Ok. Stop laughing, 'cause it was so much more fun than camping or fishing, or whatever else you're supposed to do at regular sleepaway camp. Anyway... I've been working behind the scenes with Papermill Playouse for the past 5 seasons drawing hand lettered show titles.
It's a fun way to still be involved in the theater without ever having to get on stage.
Has anyone out there seen this?
I'm hoping to catch it when it comes to Papermill Playhouse later this year.
Who didn't want to be "bad Sandy" when they were a little girl? Lord knows I did, despite a lecture from my cousin about how you should never change who you are to win a fella's heart. Whatevs. I just wanted to strut around in those tight, shiny pants.
Your prayers have been answered.
I've been singing Honey Bun to Francie for DAYS since working on this. Poor, little Francie.
